ABOUT

Why I do what I do...

I was raised in a Jewish environment at home and within the community. My desire to grow in Torah and my personal relationship with Gd, grew as I grew older.

Living in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, I was aware of Native American presence and their relationship to their land as home.  The authenticity of that connection reminded me of my family’s personal, and our people’s national connection to our homeland, and a desire to return.

As someone who struggled with health challenges from birth, I recognized the value and importance of learning how to be at home not only in place, but in our bodies as well.

Embodying Torah wisdom played a foundational role early on in my journey of healing and growth. Later on in my path, I also discovered the transformational possibilities of Yoga therapy. In order to help my clients work through and overcome the challenges of ongoing pain, trauma, and other issues, I draw on both of these wisdoms as guidance.

Where I studied, trained, and do what I do...

I studied Jewish Education at Migdal Oz and Machon Herzog, with years of informal education experience at Camp Stone. I am certified as a kallah teacher, with advanced training from the Eden Center. I have taught Embodied Torah workshops for shul groups, in girl’s seminaries, and in my private studio.

I began my yoga journey with JoAnne Aboussaouan at Cleveland Yoga, and I did my initial teacher training with Esther Elfassi in Israel. I then continued on to train as an IAYT certified Yoga Therapist with Rachel Krentzman and Michal Yarkoni at Widsom Body Yoga Therapy. I did specialized training for military trauma and PTSD with Mindful Yoga Therapy as well as sexual trauma with Dr. Yael Itzhak Idan's 'baguf ani mavriyahmodel.

In addition to teaching workshops,  group classes, and one-on-one therapy sessions in my private studio,

I have taught and given workshops at

  • Mercaz Chosen (Resiliency Center) - Trauma sensitive classes and workshops for staff and participants
